We face the problem of post harvest food waste of small-scale (private) farmers in developing countries. In terms of money, the worth of post harvest food waste in these countries is about $31bn per year. In India, the average daily food waste of a common farmer is $6-7. Whereby 41% of food is wasted post harvest in supply chain, until the food has reached the distributor/market.
The farmers and logistics (currently executed by self-employed middleman) have several severe problems. There is no existing direct or planned connection to markets for farmers. In every supply chain step, there is a lack of storage and in addition to that, cold storages are rare and expensive. The current logistic chain is mainly unplanned and is operating by accident.
We solve the problems via our smart supply and demand aggregation system.
